The Mount Lovcen arises from the edges of Kotor bay, with some of its peaks reaching the altitude of 1,749 meters.

Its slopes are rocky, with many clefts and many depressions, and these natural characteristics provide the Mount Lovcen with one of the most exciting and most beautiful sceneries in the world.

It stands on the border between the continental part of the country and the sea, and is therefore blessed with the influences of both climates and various animal and plant species, some of which are endemic.

The highest parts of the mountain have been protected and are now a part of Lovcen National Park which includes many old villages typical of cattle breeding mountain culture as well as the mausoleum of Njegoš, the Montenegrin prince and renowned writer.

A part of this magnificent Mediterranean landscape is most certainly the city of Kotor, situated at the foot of the Mount Lovcen. Kotor is surrounded by 20 centuries old city walls. Inside the walls, historic centre has found its place, and there we can recommend you the high quality hotel comfort.

From there one can admire the beautiful piazzas dominated by old Orthodox and Catholic churches and straight stone paved alleys, which altogether make Kotor one of the most beautiful places at the Adriatic coast.

Once you have explored the city you can start walking uphill and experience one of the most beautiful natural sights in this part of the world. Hill Walking is a relatively new sport in Montenegro, which has been slowly developing in the last 10 years and has become very popular among all generations.

There is a huge number of marked trails but don't worry, we do organize groups for Hill Walking and we can provide professional guidance, but don't be surprised if we come with you to conquer one more hill.
